some of the printed matter for the podium identity we made during the summer is starting to arrive back… the results look very promising so far, i’ll post the whole set when everything is complete later this autumn… the final part of the project is a new websie which we are due to start working on right now

the premsela institute has posted a summarised version of the talk (which i missed) given by UK designer ‘angus hyland’ in amsterdam last week, it is also available (in it’s entirety) as a podcast download via itunes, alas it is a rather disjointed and not very interesting / challenging or revealing hour-long talk i have to say… having just patiently listened to the whole thing
i paid a visit to the studio of ‘tejo remy & rene veenhuizen’ yesterday in utrecht, to see the progress on our collective art project ‘hoofdzaken’ the interview object is nearing completion and works perefectly, it was really great to see the guys at work… now it’s my turn to figure out exactly how to apply the typography, an exciting moment… the object will be moving to my studio in a few weeks to get started properly, more news soon…
the BBC radio show ‘desert island discs’ is something of an institute in the UK, celebrities are interviewed and asked to share the ten records they would take with them if they had to live alone on a desert island… this week i came across the revamped logo for the program, which is really quite good in my opinion, a classical logo that says what it is about… simple
it was done in-house by the BBC design team and you can read some more about the development here
the ‘amsterdam music theater’ celebrates it’s 25th anniversary this weekend, with plenty of red stuff all over town…
