here’s another interesting ‘make something everyday’ project:
i received mail from utrecht-based illustrator ‘joost stokhof’ (aka the things we are) who is going to make a collage six days a week, for the coming year, using only images culled from that days’ edition of the dutch newspaper ‘de volkskrant’, nice…
i’ve often had a weird feeling about certain locations i’ve been on holiday at, which makes this series from andrea dicenzo and tess thackara even more appealing to me… (via ‘cool hunting’)
the dutch fair very well in this annual overview of the best photobooks of 2010, from the likes of ‘martin parr’ and ‘willem van zoetendaal’ (congrats to my friends andré thijssen and of course designer ‘sybren kuiper’ too, who has several of his designs amongst the list)
although it’s a shame that the translation of some of the english text appears to have been done by google translate on a bad day (see ‘van zoetendaal’ for example) oops…

some of them look more like a james bond set than a james bond set looks like a james bond set… phew, i just realised that my previous sentence could loop into infinity
o.k. parking are requesting entries for their new boring issue, the deadline is in about a month’s time… surely boredom is a valuable asset that we all badly need? problem is… it seems to be out of fashion… or is it just me?
