several social media sites are offering ‘year in review’ options such as the twitter one using a service called vizify (also for facebook etc.) which aggregates data such as how repetitive you are with certain terms or who your best follower is and various other factoids you really don’t need to know… on a similar note the big internet museum opened it’s doors this week…

mapping the bomb census
it is hard to imagine what it is like being in a heavy bombing raid unless you have been there yourself i guess
my dad was evacuated from london as a child and like many of his generation spent the worst part of the blitz on london living in the countryside, this infographic mapping the bomb sites street for street gives a pretty vivid feel of the enormity of the situation… especially when you pull back and see how many bombs there were in total; the city literally disappears behind red dots..
