labour of love

my new ‘most favourite poster ever’ is not one made by me, but for me: to celebrate my 45th birthday last tuesday… it’s hard not to be impressed when a designer puts everything they have into crafting a design, or am i just a proud dad?
beeke’d beans

the dutch post office visited the studio today to discuss the stamp designs we are currently working on (of which more news soon) and this classic series came up in the discussion,: made in 2003 by none other than ‘anton beeke’ to comemorate 250 years of dutch coffee company ‘douwe egberts’, using a beautifully simple iconic coffee cup and a ‘coffee bean’ pattern

the more i think about it the more it strikes me that strong stamp designs very closely resemble posters in their singularity… (maybe this idea needs some more thought but i know what i mean…) these particular stamps were actually one of the first ‘scratch & sniff’ productions, more classic designs can be seen on the PostNL archive site here
sugar for hire

a simple poster we made for the ‘sugar factory’ recently
jump stuff

a poster and some of the merchandising for the ‘jump’ identity we are currently making for the new dutch national fanclub for kids, more news soon
