an impressive portfolio from french designer with an amusing name: methode bernadette

she has a strong bias towards editorial/typographical work… definitely worth a look

i was back in the studio with ‘ruud baan’ on friday for the latest poster shoot: ‘à la russe’ for the dutch national ballet, this time with three dancers: igone (from the netherlands), anna (from russia) and casey (from the states)
despite the obvious difficulties in shooting and choreographing three dancers at once for a photo, the session went very smoothly and we will be working on this particular poster in the coming weeks… more news soon

new work (a poster i believe) from michiel schuurman… currently in progress (via facebook)

here are three new ballet posters which i’ve just completed that are going into production this week

‘strong voices’ and ‘sleeping beauty’ were both shot by ‘ruud baan’, the sylvia one is from ‘ingrid baars’

the catalogue for the ‘messages to the world’ poster exhibition (currently in shanghai) arrived in the post today, a really lovely, thick book and a very impressive collection of posters from all over the world, including the beautiful one shown above by ‘herman van bostelen’ and one of my ballet posters also… one minor problem, my work has been credited by the organisation vidak to a designer called ‘kang byung dong’ and is apparently entitled ‘peace’, my first reaction however was ‘war’
oh well… at least it got published, so well done mr. byung dong…
