one of my posters, but then improved somewhat with the help of the weather and some nice decay…

wednesday was spent judging some 400+ posters for the annual ‘dutch theater poster awards’, it’s always fascinating (and quite unique) to see a years worth of poster design from one country all in one go in one space…
this year the graphic designers were quite heavily represented amongst the jury members (including my friends ‘lernert & sander’) which led to some difficult discussions during the day, on the whole i feel very happy about the final selection and the winner, more news as soon as the finalists are announced next month…

i really like the unusual aesthetic for this poster series, if anyone knows who the maker is let me know…. i’d be glad to credit them, found via mister jarr’s poster empire
update: thanks to ‘mannschaft’ for the tip, the posters are designed by ‘maureen mooren & corine datema’

just backfrom the printers: my latest poster for the sugarfactory, the collage style image is by young photographer nathalie hennis

last friday we had a shoot for the ‘amsterdam music theater’ jubilee campaign with photographer ‘jaap van den beukel’ in and around the building itself, the weather was merciful when we needed it to be and the images involved a young boy scout, a gospel singer, an opera diva, an orchestra conductor, various ballet dancers and irish/african/balkan dancers too, amazingly we finished even earler than planned, more news soon…
