very positive review of the unseen photo fair this weekend from the UK financial times, i will be writing my own review this week too for ‘fontanel’
the jewish museum in amsterdam will be airing this wonderful documentary about american photographer ‘saul leiter’ this coming weekend

a noteworthy experiment in the irish town of bushmills (yes from the whisky): the town has been suffering an economic depression and locals have raised funds to decorate empty buildings with fake scenes depicting a series of shops and homes, complete with people in the windows… i find this idea weird and great at the same time…

apparently the project has had some success in finding new owners for the deserted properties… story via pinar & viola

undoubtedly not the first of its kind, but this portfolio app by local photographer erik hijweege is one of the first i have seen, the app currently only contains his acclaimed ‘holland’ tilt-shift series… but he promises to add more work in the near future
