if you forget about the fact that this is actually an ad from leica trying to sell you a ridculously overpriced camera, then its quite a nice little film…

switcheroo

amusing idea for a project from vancouver-based photographer hana pesut and a great opportunity for a bit of cross-dressing

thanks to ‘uwe’ for the ‘smile of the day’ tip
go ‘noord’
in the past few… say five, years a great deal of photographers have made the move across from stills to film/motion work, there are a wide array of reasons such as access to new technology, the financial recession, shrinking margins etc etc. whatever the reasons the transition isn’t always a logical, easy or even successful one…
two of my photographer friends have also recently taken the plunge: ‘theo captein’ and ‘lukas göbel’, they are currently working on a project to document the colourful characters of amsterdam north, the first results in this trailer look really promising to me, (tip: go full screen) keep up the good work boys
going, going, gone

with barely one day left before the end of the fotofestival naarden 2011 a second large-scale picture decided to leave early, this time one of the images by ‘ingrid baars’ was stolen, at least they chose a decent one this time…

the last time i worked with (or spoke to) photographer ‘tim gutt’ was at least ten years ago, since then he moved to london a few years ago and certainly hasn’t been standing still…. tim got in touch again this week to share his impressive portfolio, for magazines like ‘vogue’, ‘dazed & confused’ and ‘wallpaper’ amongst others… see for yourself here
