the controversy surrounding the 2012 london olympics logo, seems to keep it’s momentum as the event approaches, iran has now accused the makers of secretly placing the word ‘zion’ in that magenta mess and threatens to boycott the games as a result
whilst others claim that it actually hides the word ‘iran’… although the most amusing theory i’ve heard so far is the ‘lisa simpson giving head’ one… can’t see it? this might help

i know it’s a bit juvenile but it made me smile, a rather unfortunate photo-opportunity for the most smug-looking prime minister the UK has ever had, which is not an easy title to win…
i will be hosting an informal afternoon get-together in my studio in mid march, when a small group of graphics students from the design department of the pratt institute in new york will be coming to chat with me and a small group of dutch designers about our practices and work and the burning issue of ‘dutch design’
although i don’t consider myself to be, at all, part of the ‘dutch design scene’ whatever it may be; so that should give me plenty of material for a discussion anyway… they are currently working on a exchange project with students from the ‘academie st. joost’ in breda and i’m looking forward to meeting new people as always and hearing some fresh ideas
