a tv commercial for the 65th anniversary of the classic ‘VW transporter’ van, currently airing in the netherlands features a really (really) nice ’65 years’ logo (shown above)
one of those ‘wish i’d made that’ logos for me… it was probably made by ddb who also created the commercial back in 2007, typical volkswagen and consistently good… see the ‘gelato’ commercial here, another nice old one in the same category can be seen here

an escher-esque font based on classic optical illusions by hungarian designer martzi hegedüs, as somebody on twitter pointed out, a similar exercise had already been done by british type designer jonathan barnbrook, although this new one seems much better, aesthetically pleasing and more useable to me… apparently he intends to actually release it
