fascinating project which aims to document the whole of the netherlands by the age of its 9,866,539 buildings
zoom in and have a look at amsterdam for example; although i believe the data is not 100% accurate… it provides a beautiful visualisation of the countries’ history (via this site)

a noteworthy experiment in the irish town of bushmills (yes from the whisky): the town has been suffering an economic depression and locals have raised funds to decorate empty buildings with fake scenes depicting a series of shops and homes, complete with people in the windows… i find this idea weird and great at the same time…

apparently the project has had some success in finding new owners for the deserted properties… story via pinar & viola

following the opening of her latest show in paris, book designer ‘irma boom’ has released a new edition of her mini monograph ‘boom’, now in two formats: small and an XXL edition which contains more work and obviously larger images
boths edition have been updated with recent projects such as the braille book for ‘chanel’

undoubtedly not the first of its kind, but this portfolio app by local photographer erik hijweege is one of the first i have seen, the app currently only contains his acclaimed ‘holland’ tilt-shift series… but he promises to add more work in the near future
