sparkling type

there are advantages to computer based designs… for example, when it comes to a ‘minor’ text edit making type with hundreds of steel pins by hand (with an average of 3 hours per letter, including creating then destroying each one) is not good news… still we have finally completed the stop-motion animation (tv commercial) project this weekend and i will post it soon here on the blog…

we’ve just completed a new line-up poster for the ‘sugar factory’ and have started working on a poster & campaign for a new client this week: a rather controversial foreign theater production taking place later this year in amsterdam, of which more news later this year…

computer vision

…while the visitor keeps their eyes shut, a moving platform guides a pen in their hand to draw a self-portrait, using computer vision to track their face and generate a line drawing. The result is a machine-aided drawing, a self-portrait you could never draw… (via uwe)
