the image of mandela we used, was shot in 1990 from the balcony of the ‘stadsschouwburg’ where mandela stood when he visited amsterdam after his release (see image above, top right)
this building and the ‘melkweg’ nightclub were the two venues used for the celebrations during the whole weekend
