i’m currently reading the hilarious account of his years as ‘gonzo reporter’ for rolling stone magazine so have a personal interest in these images by the fabulous hunter thompson taken during his somewhat risky period spent living amongst some of californias’ most violent hells angels in the 60’s… the blackeye shown above was a ‘leaving present’
i also love the ‘edgar hoover’ target in his own backyard, if you haven’t read the ‘angels’ book i urge you to do so… thrilling stuff, in fact read all of his books

fascinating pitch film made by mister ‘saul bass’ to present his new corporate identity for ‘bell telecom’ to the board of directors
the embed function doesn’t work very well so see here to watch the 24 minute long video, worth a watch… as ‘garech stone’ (who sent me the link) pointed out, this kind of presentation (and wry humour) beats a keynote show anyday… the revamp for bell was the biggest rebranding of its kind ever including 135,000 vehicles and 22,000 buldings amongst many other things..
2012 in progress
the new year hangover started early with a photoshoot together with the misses at our house on sunday, the poster should be ready this week… a serious hard disk crash on monday, meant a lot of files have possibly been lost, so not so good…
and some paper sculpting/illustration work currently underway for a new project this week…
