amsterdam in documents

this beautiful thick book arrived in the studio this week: ‘amsterdam in stukken’ made by the world as flatland, the accompanying website shows a few representative spreads but also hints at the almost online-like apprearance of the whole structure

it contains a vast amount of data and varying media & formats but the layered/interactive design approach actually works very well to guide you through the mass of data it contains, very original; worth getting hold of a copy to see for yourself…

the first publication by new quality art publisher ‘off print’ is a monograph of talented local duo scheltens & abbenes of whom i am a big fan, i haven’t seen the actual book yet but it looks very promising to me… i’m looking forward to hearing more from ‘off print’ too

a beautiful new monography of ‘neo geo’ artist ashley bickerton designed by mister stefan sagmeister has just been released, if you have $2.500 dollars to spare there is even a limited edition in a balinese carved wooden slipcase with handcarved book block edges and pressed orchids inserted between the pages…
