great piece from street artist ‘mobstr’ in london: the story 2012 (via edson williams)

…the first installation of The Story was a simple “Once upon a time…” The artist expected maintenance crews to paint over his graffiti. As soon as the wall was cleaned, Mobstr proceeded with the second installation, which was then also painted over, and so on until the narrative was completed…

…his intention was to create an indirect “teamwork” between two opposing societal forces exemplified by street artist and street maintenance crew…

Sky Arts Ignition: Memory Palace brings together a new work of fiction by the author Hari Kunzru with 20 original commissions from leading graphic designers, illustrators and typographers to create a multidimensional story. The way we read books is changing. Memory Palace explores how a story might be imagined in a different format – as a walk-in book.
Each of the designers and illustrators worked on a different passage of text from the story, responding freely to the text.

At first, I thought they were glitches, or errors in the algorithm, but looking closer I realized the situation was actually more interesting — these images are not glitches.
