belgian beer brand ‘vedett’ have been working on a very ‘out of the box’ image for several years now, like their tactile website for example… how many beer brands would dare to do this?
(tip via ‘ellen bokkinga’… thanks!)

here is a daunting infographic which maps the dazzling number of clandestine and public entities involved in the security of the united states of secret america, in order of least, to most activity… wow

i have just added a new project to ‘me work’ a photobook made for my friend ‘paul d. scott’ who shot a series of young dutch gymnasts (the dutch word is ‘turners’ which also became the book’s title) hanging around in some very impressive positions in the comfort of their own homes back in 2008…
if ever i’ve made a photobook that was well-suited to the medium, it is this one… the images are positioned in such a way that the book needs to be constantly revolved and flipped to get your bearings… all great fun, the book is not yet for sale but if you are interested in obtaining a copy, do let paul know

the british post office have released a series of stamps featuring a whole series of illustrators and artists (julian opie, george hardie to name two) in the run up to the london olympics, with two more stamp sets due in the following year.. the design is in the hands of studio david hillman
somehow i feel that they could have been a bit more ‘wild’ than this with so many talented people involved, the overall impression is rather ‘traditional’ for me… although the basketball one is quite funky…
