the world famous ‘concertgebouw’ in amsterdam, has undergone a subtle refresh to it’s identity (a new ‘looser’ logo and typeface) and a new sober look for their publicity campaign, featuring black & white imagery, i actually worked on this project (in an early stage) several years back, but it was put on hold, till now apparently…
photographer and writer ‘hans aarsman’ has launched a new visual blog to share his thoughts on imagery called fieldeye
an interesting new modular typeface from volcano fonts which has a series of weights that all fit perfectly inside each other much like the russian doll, available via my fonts
ironically the internet seems to be the perfect place for nostalgia these days, like this little film currently in the make
…how does the linotype fit in with new technology?… it doesn’t…
update: an even better image of the ‘façade’ billboard from (kessels & aarsman) just arrived in my inbox, halfway through erecting the image, she looked like it was a bit less fun… (thanks to ‘claartje’ for the image)
