just in this week the new volume ‘logotype’ by laurence king, the third in the ‘logo’ series this time focusing on purely (or largely) typographical logos, me studio is pretty well represented in this book, always nice to see
i am currently doing a short teaching session at the design academy, eindhoven and have decided to revive my old chinese whispers project with the students; should be interesting to see where that goes…
earlier this week i attended the best dutch book designs 2011 awards ceremony at the stedelijk museum… congratulations to the winners, in particular ‘syb’ and ‘hans gremmen’ both talented book producers and worthy winners
starting this year the exhibition will be going global with a specially produced crate (see above) that contains the entire exhibition and can be put together just using a hammer, planned destinations to visit in the coming year are tokyo, mumbai, leipzig, vienna, poland and turkey
the organisation let me know that amongst the books featured in the international expo are two of our ‘dingen’ books which were awarded in last years competition, great news…
