it is hard to imagine what it is like being in a heavy bombing raid unless you have been there yourself i guess
my dad was evacuated from london as a child and like many of his generation spent the worst part of the blitz on london living in the countryside, this infographic mapping the bomb sites street for street gives a pretty vivid feel of the enormity of the situation… especially when you pull back and see how many bombs there were in total; the city literally disappears behind red dots..
