after school club

nice little idea from hort

This catalogue documents an ‘After School Club’ we held in 2007. The idea stemmed from ‘HORT’s’ direct translation into English of ‘After School Club’. We decided to go to a primary school (Hatch Ride Primary School, Reading, UK) and asked the children to re-draw record sleeves designed by Hort. Not only was this a direct translation of the word ‘HORT’ but also demonstrated the studios philosophy of a creative playground.

i visited the very friendly folks over at dietwee in utrecht today, one of their latest projects is the identity and campaign for the annual ‘oerol’ festival (a kind of open air theater and culture festival on a small island every year in june) the logo is a cut-out stencil form which is meant to be used (& abused) in all manner of variations, the poster made by designer ‘miss lee’ feels like a sort of modern-day psychedelia to me, very nice…
