intro films for the contestants for the ‘grote prijs’ this year (a music competition in various genres held each year in amsterdam) the style, posters and leaders were developed by three of my neighbours: ’21bis’ ‘from the hill’ & ‘jihaa’, very nice boys…

the black & white expo i took part recently in has been extended till late december (due to success) and the posters can now also be purchased online for a highly reasonnable fee of 10 euros, don’t worry all of the cash goes to charity and not me… oh by the way the website is in dutch so give me a shout if you need help ordering that pile of 100 posters you were going to buy for christmas presents…

i have been looking around for this beautiful old poster from 1966, by dutch designer ‘jan van toorn’ for ages now and was reminded of it once again recently when i saw a copy at the ‘grafisch geluk’ exhibition in hilversum
this weekend i was sorting through hundreds and hundreds of posters in my own collection and of my own work (for an exhibition next year, of which more later…) and behold i discovered that i have already owned an original copy of the ‘berrocal’ for about 5 years now… found in a bookshop for 5 euros (lucky break) it seems i need to clean up a bit more often…
