i am starting work on the fifth and final part of the ‘top 100’ audio project for italian artist ‘davide bertocchi’, we started the project back in 2004 and it has so far involved, over 500 international artists and curators, when the fifth piece (all white this time to complete the whole CMYK set) is completed, we will then be working on a limited edition box set containing almost a whole days worth of eclectic music in all kinds of genres…


local nightclub ‘the sugar factory’ asked me to make an image for their monthly agenda, so due to the crazy 24 hour deadline i turned to a material i am already familiar with from another similarily named client of mine: sugar, only this time not cubes but powdered… one kilo spread around carefully with a small brush and a palet knife ended up looking like this…


i attended the first shoot of the new season for the ‘dutch national ballet’ with photographer erwin olaf, to get the ball rolling we shot a minimalist close-up for the season campaign with the left foot of the beautiful armenian ballerina ‘viktoriya ananyan’, the image should be ready soon…

it’s not a particularly eye-catching or innovative piece of design, but that’s precisely why i think it caught my attention… this film poster has an honesty to it which seems to be lacking in many of the over-airbrushed, formulaic designs on offer these days…
