although these classic posters are not typical for the output of this great ‘flyers & posters’ blog there is plenty of stuff to see, so much that i haven’t found the time yet, worth a look (thanks to ‘martin vesseur’ for the tip)

the museum hilversum which, oddly enough is situated in hilversum, has just launched a new exhibition on the golden era of dutch design (yes yet another one), fortunately the dutch penchant for graphic design nostalgia has been balanced out with new work by some of the better names around at the moment: featuring amongst others:
(old then new) Wim Crouwel, Dick Bruna, Otto Treumann, Mart Kempers en Dick Elffers, Hansje van Halem, René Knip, Harmen Liemburg, Michiel Schuurman, Job Wouters and Richard Niessen

i briefly caught up with designer jonathan looman last week a.k.a. lowman, he has a very geometrical/graphic style to his work and is responsible amonst other things for the ‘fontanel’ identity, why have a look around the lowlands for yourself?

our latest poster for the sugar factory is finished, and those cute (sugar) cake letters i bought in a french supermarket about four years ago finally came to good use…

here is an impression of the ‘black & white are not colors’ exhibition last saturday in the hague, organised by fontanel and the ship of fools gallery

these were my contributions to the expo (images courtesy of ‘fontanel’)
