when i first came across this work i not only instantly felll in love with it but was also convinced that it was by american street photographer ‘saul leiter’ who is currently the subject of a retrospective exhibition in amsterdam
in fact it is very much the same era and style as ‘leiter’ but a different town and a different person: namely ‘fred herzog’ see more of his beautiful oeuvre here
a really nice minimalistic cover for the new album (due for release in about a month) by one of my favourite artists: ‘sascha funke’ in collaboration with singer (and wife) ‘julienne dessagne’
i just had another look through the wonderful portfolio of dutch duo blommers & schumm, interesting to see that they too have made an image series with ‘invisible men’… like our latest ballet poster (see previous post)
