sometimes things come together in a really nice way, like the day we spent in the studio last thursday with talented young dancers ‘aya okumura’ and ‘edo wijnen’ and photographer ‘ruud baan’ shooting the latest poster image for our new season with the theme ‘jump’, more news soon

speaking of destruction i am out of the office and in the studio today with mister ‘ruud baan’ shooting ballet dancers, exploding powderbombs and lots of messy stuff… a new poster production coming up

i’m not a big follower of fashion magazines, as the recent introduction of the dutch version of ‘vogue’ confirmed, to my eyes they all look-alike and seem to be very much devoted to pleasing the whims of their advertisers…

perhaps that is the name of the game? but one exception to the rule is ‘glamcult’ not only does they opt for a different format (full-colour newspaper, recently downsized to neater proportions) but glamcult has it’s own distinctive look and is furthermore free… it seems you can survive on advertising revenue alone without compromising your own voice…

they shoot many of their own series like these two recent ones from talented local photographers (and actually a couple, who regularly work together) barrie hullegie (two shown above) and sabrina bongiovanni (lower two images shown below)
