just back from the printers today: a series of ten large format posters i recently made for the dutch national ballet, who have organised a photo competition for (250) amateur photographers to celebrate their 50th anniversary this year, they will be hanging around town in the coming weeks and there will also be an article in newspaper ‘het parool’ in the first week of december
the occupy movement now has it’s own iconic image, it must be such good fun working as a policeman… using pepper spray on 84 year old ladies who are protesting peacefully…
a series of different covers for one issue of a magzine may not be new, but it is seldom done as well as this fabulous set for the 20 years jubileum (has it really been that long?) of dazed
shot by co-founder and photographer ‘rankin’ and featuring a whole bunch of typical ‘dazed’ cuture icons, mind you it would have been fine by me to just do 20 different covers of ‘polly’
i just wanted to indulge in a bit of shameless plugging for the diorama project my wife has created, she started earlier this year and has been pleasantly surprised by the enthusiastic response, so far… she has already had an exhibition in an art gallery (at least one or maybe two more to follow soon) she even has celebrities amongst her growing number of clients…
have a look around and order one quick before they become so popular that you’ll have to wait ages to get hold of one, christmas is only a few weeks away… she makes me proud
whilst greece and italy slowly tumble into chaos, the question of just how much solidarity we are prepared to offer our neighbours becomes ever more relevant, a timely moment to launch the latest two (dutch & english) editions of the ‘dingen’ series
