dutch newspaper ‘het parool’ published a spread about the ‘dutch national ballet’ amateur photography competition today; showing the ten winners, i will post some more images of the accompanying poster campaign we made, later this week (currently all around amsterdam)

although the name may not immediately suggest it, there is a new photo bookstore opening in amsterdam this week
…this coming Saturday the 10th of December sees the grand opening of a new bookstore… …will be catering to some of the more hard to find, limited run, self published and handmade books from across the globe… …the store will have a strong bias towards photography publications… …@ 301 Overtoom it will be open 2PM – 8PM every Saturday and via appointment at other times…
these are the 10 winners of a competition for 250 amateur photographers, organised by ‘the dutch national ballet’ together with national newspaper ‘het parool’ & marketing agency ‘xsaga’
we were asked to create a series of large outdoor posters for the event which should be hanging around amsterdam this week, as from today (haven’t seen them yet)
the ’tilted’ layout was a deliberate step to emphasise the different nature of this mini campaign compared to the regular poster series we make, the overall winner was ‘bodine koopmans’ shown above
the jury for the competition was artistic director of the ballet (my client) ‘ted brandsen’, ‘ronald ockhuysen’ editor in chief of newspaper ‘het parool’ and my good self…
