jump for cash

…in a moment of stupidity, I once agreed to design and build a website in exchange for yoga lessons. Contrary to what they would have you believe, you cannot actually embrace the sun as this would result in severe burns and your arms would need to be over one hundred and fifty million miles long. My favourite yoga move is the wriggly snake.

Unfortunately, until I can pay my rent with mantras and expressing emotional intonations through grand eloquent movements and wide swooshes of the arms before spinning and dropping to the floor while wearing spandex, I will need cash.

Regards, David…

zonder pardon (no excuses)

last sunday i attended the presentation of the ‘dutch theater poster awards 2010’ for which i was a jury member (the only graphic designer of the four members), the winner was comedian ‘theo maassen’ for his poster ‘zonder pardon’ several of the other nominees expressed anger at the decision to me afterwards, whereas others thought it was the right choice, again i was not the only jury member and i still stand behind our decision

more info (and a copy of the jury report) here, or here and another viewpoint (in dutch) here, the presentation by legendary theater maker and choreographer ‘robert wilson’ was also amazing and inspiring…
