this arrived in my inbox today: a promo directed by ‘ruben van leer’ for a hysterical electro-pop track from ‘afrobeta’, it is more effect than idea but that probably suits the music i guess… it does feature some interesting effects however and of course the obligatory ‘making of’ video (showing lots of technical stuff, studio sets and hipsters with laptops) is also online…

Shaking the phone vigorously while taking pictures in bright light will produce wonderfully rubbery, fun-house-mirror effects. Turning these still images into a movie required taking over 4,000 of them, wiggling the camera each time.
