…fifteen exceptional young artists were chosen to be Foam Magazine’s Talent of 2011. For the first time the work is also presented in exhibition form. The discovery and above all the presentation of work by young talents is one of the key purposes of Foam. Our annual Talent Call allows us to keep up to date with the activities of young photographers worldwide. The exhibition Talent 2011 therefore addresses developments, trends and themes that are of particular importance to a new generation of artists. From over 800 submissions, the final selection is on show in Foam’s new extra venue at the Vijzelstraat 78…

black & white is not a colour
well actually black is not a colour but the absence of colour, whereas white is the result of all of the colours in a light spectrum combined together, but anyway that’s besides the point…
my friends from fontanel have teamed up with the graphic design museum and the ship of fools gallery in the hague to orgnise a poster show ‘use any two colours except black and white and express something about the contrasts in your work’ was the brief… the result is on show (and for sale) in the hague, opening saturday the 15th of october at 5pm, the prices are delibeartely low (10 euros) and all proceeds go to a worthy charity
here’s a sneak preview of mine (well, sneak… quite a clear preview actually) they asked for one, but i made three because i felt like it…
