yesterday a group of second year graphic design students from ‘university college falmouth’ in the UK visited the studio to have a look at some work and talk about getting started in the business
as usual it was really nice to meet the next generation of designers and share some ideas about the profession, good luck guys and see you again some time maybe… many thanks for the ‘goodies’ too!
…in relative terms, the world’s top tweeting nation are the Netherlands, with just over 22% of the Dutch online population using Twitter. The US, at 8%, is far behind Brazil (almost 22%), Venezuela (21%) and Indonesia (19%). So it’s a fair guess that a majority of the 200 million tweets generated every day are in languages other than English…

this is a new trend in amsterdam: ‘pepper pot’ advertising columns that were traditionally used to house a series of different posters, are increasingly being taken over by one large wraparound poster, like this i spotted yesterday…

for anyone who is wise enough to use behance as a portfolio tool, there is some good news: the service has just been enhanced further, they have just updated the dashboard to provide real-time stats and all kinds of useful information… and best of all it’s still free
i just wanted to indulge in a bit of shameless plugging for the diorama project my wife has created, she started earlier this year and has been pleasantly surprised by the enthusiastic response, so far… she has already had an exhibition in an art gallery (at least one or maybe two more to follow soon) she even has celebrities amongst her growing number of clients…
have a look around and order one quick before they become so popular that you’ll have to wait ages to get hold of one, christmas is only a few weeks away… she makes me proud
