just back from the printers: a personal project (book / magazine) i made together with illustrator ‘carline huge’ and photographer ‘matthijs immink’

i finally paid a visit to the excellent oskar fischinger exhibition at the ‘eye’ film museum this weekend, his amazing kinetic graphics and short films were one of the biggest inspirations behind the ‘metropole orkest’ identity, i showed the client a dvd of his work last year to explain the idea and the look i was aiming for…

this has to be a personal record: the poster (see lower down) was designed late on monday night, sent to the printers on tuesday, printed on wednesday and was already hanging around amsterdam on thursday morning…

we haven’t really had time to introduce the new identity yet, so here it is…. culture moves fast these days

this is just a sneak preview of some of the first printed pieces of the new identity (which is still in development, in fact)
