this time focussing on amsterdam and in particular as seen through the eyes of anne frank, very poignant if you recognise the places featured in the images, there is also mention of an app called anne’s amsterdam, but which doesn’t (yet) appear to be in the app store


…originally published in 1981, the codex seraphinianus is an illustrated encyclopedia of an imaginary world, created by the italian artist, architect and industrial designer Luigi Serafini during thirty months, from 1976 to 1978. The book is approximately 360 pages long (depending on edition), and written in a strange, generally unintelligible alphabet…

how brilliant is this? the the vegetable orchestra makes music with some rather unconventional instruments…
