mindfulness

some more string typography but from someone else this time: design and purpose, although it does seem a bit at odds with the rest of their portfolio work in terms of style… and 85 quid for a print?! wow… maybe i should start selling my stuff too…
at home at work

…my little studio, which is always a mess, no matter how hard I try to keep it tidy… this is my main working area, where I spend far too much of my time. I work from a laptop with a 2nd (30″) monitor. On the left is my paper list of things to do. I seem to be surrounded by external hard drives (more are strapped under the desk). On the right is one of my analog working areas…

in vogue

some hand-stitched ‘vogue’ covers from inge jacobson, nice and time consuming… although i find the rear view much more interesting as an experiment than the verbatim cover

revolutions per millenium

a collection of portraits of not yet defunct record stores (mostly) around the united states, including the fabulous NYC ‘bleecker street’ store (here below) where i have spent quite a lot of money in the past

yes, i am aware that this is a hopelessly nostalgic subject but let’s be honest… most of these look a lot better than staring at ‘spotify’ windows all day and having to endure those horrendous adverts in the middle of music… times change
p.s. it could be worse: they also have a collection of defunct record stores…. sigh…
