…as jonathan began to carve out his story, we started doing our production homework and literally got turned down by every printer we approached – their stock line being “the book you want to make just cannot be made”…
an amazing looking book by author ‘jonathan safran foer’, the cover design is by mister gray318 and the rest by the equally talented ‘sara de bondt’
to be honest, in general, i find his books difficult to read however beautifully they are always made, this one looks even more difficult than usual… but then deliberately so, i really look forward to getting my hands on this one… then not reading it, great stuff…

i’m still nursing a mean hangover due to over-enthusiastic consumption of ‘bushmills irish whisky’, last night whist joining the stone twins for their eightieth birthday bash… they also released an amusing little book called the ‘catalogue of crap’ collecting various events and design classics that have defined their career, even ‘mind the gap #1’ gets a mention, yay! thanks guys… here’s to another fourty (er eighty) years of inspiration and whisky

the korean book on international poster design (messages to the world) featuring some of my work which i posted a while ago, arrived in the post again this week, they had printed several mistakes in the book getting a few names wrong (including mine) and stuff like that, annoying yes but not a disaster…
well they have actually reprinted the whole book and sent everyone a new one, how nice is that? makes me wonder how many organisations here would go to the trouble and expense of doing that?… so a big thanks from me to ‘vidak’ in korea
