3D me

i received a copy of the 3D type book this weekend featuring several projects from me studio, including two made together with my former interns uwe and dylan, it’s well made compilation and has a well researched and representative selection of projects from a number of designers whom i admire a lot (nice to be in such good company)

although i must admit: i think the subject of three dimensional typography has by now, been addressed and published about more than enough in the past few years, time to move on… at least for me

myfry

anyone who has read much about the fabulous ‘stephen fry’ will probably already know that he was a really early adapter to the mac (really early) and a tech geek of the best sort, he was also heavily involved in the latest app for his second autobiography ‘the fry chronicles’ for which a rather special app has been developed, as stephen himself explains:

the idea was to make something different than just to reproduce the book in digital form, the ‘myfry’ app is the result and very well executed it is too

…the outcome of a one week workshop conducted by andrews:degen with 28 students of the Photo/Video FVPCI department at the National University of Arts in Bucharest. The research was focusing on the students’ personal visual stories and experiences relating to the city of Bucharest. A collection of work reflecting a contemporary critical and social orientated perspective…
