an interview for the vpro with local designer hansje van halem on her work process (dutch only)
me news
I grew to love posters
…i find repetitive work soothing, it calms me down and allows me some time to think about other things while being productive at the same time. I like the tension between systematic approach, legibility and (ir)regularity. I find it equally interesting to only draw the textures and end up with patterns…
my friends from the typo/graphic posters blog have just published an interview with local hero hansje van halem
noir
serial entrepreneur, designer and well-dressed man joachim baan launched his latest project this evening: a gallery, shop and studio in-one where he will be sharing his many obsessions
to kick off the venue he is starting with a modest collection of black objects, art, books & products (some expensive and all for sale) entitled simply ‘noir’, check the site for opening times and more info… and of course, good luck from me
letter love #2
here’s a bit more type porn to start the day, letterpress and linocutting have always been highly photogenic subject matters for me and the three day course i just did at letterpress amsterdam was no exception…
