interesting-looking expo due to open this week in the hague by artist ‘sander reijgers’

if you happen to be in the vicinity of the ‘middelheim’ museum (and park) antwerp belgium, i recommend visiting the open-air sculpture route featuring a large selection of work from the genius austrian artist ‘erwin wurm’

i certainly feel a connection to this portfolio: katie lewis, largely because we seem to have a preoccupation with the same technique and the same/similar materials, although our approach and views on ‘the why & the how’ are wholly different, katie is an ‘artist’ and has a ‘purpose’, i am certainly not an artist and my purpose is ‘random’ at the very best… the means but no specific end… but i hasten to add that i do really like her stuff

many thanks to my friend good old pal pam from ‘the motor’ blog for the ‘i bet you like this one’ tip
(nope, you were right… i had never heard of her x… thanks)

i had spotted this poster earlier this week, but the chaps from the ‘amsterdam ad blog’ beat me to posting it: lovely idea for the exhibition’ miffy discovers the rijksmuseum‘, the only problem is the rest of the poster… what a waste to spoil such a good idea/strong image with that layout… no idea who made it, anybody?

…the third episode reflects on the characteristics of digitised writing: the conversion of letters into electronic signals, the alternating structure of binary numbers, and also the games with codes and programmes and the complex networks that can arise out of these simple parameters…

interesting looking exhibition entitled ‘graphology 3’:
the third in a ‘series of exhibitions set at the intersection of drawing, photography, printmaking, film and computer graphics’ currently taking place at the muhka in antwerp
as luck would have it, i will be in antwerp this week and definitely popping by…
