on friday i attended the diploma ceremony for the final year of the graphic design department at the ‘HKU’ academy in utrecht, for which i was one of the external assessors this year, the quality of the projects was pretty high and it was good to see all of the happy faces…

later on i attended a private viewing of the photography show at the ‘KABK’ art academy in the hague, yet again some quality work and a lot of professional looking books on offer… worth a visit

in fact at both academies i wondered whether a desire to look professional seemed to weigh more for some students than the wish to experiment… this week the hague is also showing the final year graphics show and the ‘rietveld’ show opens on the 1st of july… always worth a visit

the cover for the DVD of the film ‘calimucho’ arrived by post this week, nothing surprising to mention here, it’s basically a small version of the poster…

i knew the french had a different keyboard layout to the rest of the world (AZERTY) but i never realised that the germans had a 29 letter alphabet keyboard, you learn something everyday…

i came across a few pictures from our talk in utrecht last week (sander plug and i) during the talk (well ok… chat) i tried to keep tabs on what we were talking about, this is all i managed to note down… you figure it out… i have no idea
