…his design looks like a normal bike when in riding mode, but a simple level on the frame triggers the frame to go from rigid to pliable. a ratchet system built into the frame enables the bike to simple be bent around a pole fitting one side of the handle bar into a closure under the seat, locking the bike in place…
interesting idea this one, the principle of making something rigid, flexible like this could probably be implemented in many more products and other appliances too…
i saw a large number of rock stars & had great fun this past weekend (see here) but none were more impressive than this old lady who was in her 80’s (maybe even 90’s) tapping her umbrella in tune to the surprise mainstage performance from legend ‘tom jones’ (who’s in his 70’s!) now that is rock’n’roll…
congratulations to all of the nominees for this year’s dutch theater poster awards (text in dutch only) the full list of nominees can be seen on the website and seeing as i was a member of the jury i would just like to point out that the selection shown here bears no reflection on the juries favourites or the winner, merely a random batch i picked… the prize will be presented early november at an, as yet, unknown location…
two projects that are currently underway in the studio: the ‘façade’ book which is going to be a lot of fun making, recycling all of the elements that we have made so far, yet again…
and a topsy-turvy book for photgrapher & friend ‘paul d. scott’ on young dutch gymnasts (the dutch word being ‘turners’) portrayed in their homes with two identical covers and a confusing upside down orientation that even got us baffled… more news soon
