patrick swayzee & richard gere are getting all jiggy in this years poster series for the amsterdam gay & lesbain (pink film days) film festival, from those unbelievably productive and talented ‘terrible twins’ lernert & sander, repeating a concept can be a tough gig, but they’ve ‘done good’ if you ask me… nice work boys!
me news
twenty one plus
not only does he (very annoyingly) make the best smelling toasted sandwiches in the whole building during lunchtime… but my neighbour mister ‘frank dresmé’ a.k.a. 21bis has also updated his portfolio with lots of tasty recent projects, loving that ‘teeth grinder’ screen print poster series frank (shown at the top)
slash art
is an initiative by a group of local art students, which aims to fuel the debate around the recent draconian cuts to the arts & culture funding in the netherlands
their latest project involves the large official collective billboards which are used here during local and national elections, they are subject to strict rules and provide fixed space for all of the contending political parties to state their case, ‘slash art’ has opened a free-for-all competition inviting the general public to customise (or vandalise) them in their own way… nice, why not have a go? democracy is a privilege we need to cherish

unfortunately it is something i know very little about to be honest: the australian graphic design scene, because it looks like there is plenty worth getting to know
at least judging by this archive of ‘down under’ graphic design from the 60’s to 80’s period of the last century (that’s an oddly specific time-frame isn’t it? or maybe it was a particularly rich period for them…)
space, the final frontier
if you were wondering why the blog has been a bit more quiet than usual this week, here’s why… me and my ego were sitting a little close together in the office so i gave him some space, it stills needs a bit of work but man is it nice to have more space to wander around…
