had a good day at the ‘design academy eindhoven’ yesterday playing ‘chinese whispers’ with my group of students, some small surprises in the results too
i’ll maybe try to post some of the stuff later on this week… one student even made a video and designed/created a special t-shirt as part of the chain…
two commercials for the 75th anniversary of ‘air canada’, made by karim zariffa with a whole team of other people of course… nice
although that large wooden number 2 really does remind me of something…
interesting exhibition due to open in the UK… based around ‘henri cartier bresson’
a question of colour features 10 previously unseen works from the man himself and some 75 international photographers including ‘fred herzog’, ‘saul leiter’ and ‘helen levitt’

a great little documentary i just stumbled upon about ‘factory records’ back in ’88, some real nostalgia here for me
a fascinating ‘behind the scenes’ look at how the hottest record label of the ’80’s started to put an album together from recording, to designing the sleeve and deciding how many copies to press
featuring tony wilson, sean ryder, bez, martin hanett and various odd characters from the notorious ‘factory’ years… i saw ‘the happy mondays’ live a year before this was made in london… and a very surreal experience it was too…
