I visited the opening of the hup show late on wednesday… photography certainly seems to have become a commodity, there was too much work and too little interesting stuff, it wasn’t bad mostly, just ‘average’ quality and generally over-priced…

I took these pictures just around the corner from my house several years ago, monumental 60’s or 70’s typography, the following week a house was built against this wall and it disappeared forever, long live onk (whatever ‘onk’ maybe)

the carmen poster for ‘Het Nationale Ballet’ is hanging around town again at the moment (first made in 2003) this time I managed to convince the client to use the image without the face, as it was originally intended… much more ‘carmen’ in my opinion
