the royal mail in the UK have issued a series of ‘james bond’ stamps which i have just been sent

they have a fairly unusual oblong format, each stamp shows a consecutive series of paperback book covers for the various stories and, like the previous beatles stamps, these are very well made… although i do think it’s a bit easy to just take a national institution and put it on a stamp… even a bit jingoistic, it would be more interesting to develop more stamps that are about ‘now’ and not just how great things used to be in the ‘good old days’

a traditional oldstyle ‘brown’ café and a car paint shop… plenty of ‘character’ and personality going on here…

i absolutely love this image on the cover of the latest release from ‘fabric’ by techno DJ m.a.n.d.y., as usual there is no credit fotr the image in the liner notes…
