ji lee is a korean whose work is difficult to classify, he does a wide range of things and he does all of them very well, he was the man behind the ‘bubble project’ amongst other things… so please enjoy, i also really like his ‘four way’ typeface and 3d chess board…
unless you live in the netherlands or belgium, you will probably not be familiar with the artist/cartoonist ‘kamagurka’ which is a shame, he makes some wonderful and funny work…
he has also just invented a new art form called ‘accidentism’ which is explained in this video (dutch only) basically he paints portraits of people he doesn’t know or has never seen and then tries to find the person he has portrayed… a typical ‘kamagurka’ way of thinking…
this is a fun idea… i haven’t tried but i’m definitely tempted…

this harmonica-fold photo book designed by ‘christian borstlap’ shows the work of photographer biance pilet who followed a teenage model during a period of six years, the book has a limited run of 250 copies and can also be seen on her website, the series was also featured in a show at ‘colette’ in paris recently
