kamagurka

unless you live in the netherlands or belgium, you will probably not be familiar with the artist/cartoonist ‘kamagurka’ which is a shame, he makes some wonderful and funny work…

he has also just invented a new art form called ‘accidentism’ which is explained in this video (dutch only) basically he paints portraits of people he doesn’t know or has never seen and then tries to find the person he has portrayed… a typical ‘kamagurka’ way of thinking…

the istd have just published a ‘dutch special’ made by fellow-englishman in amsterdam ‘david quay’ featuring lots of the old type that can be seen in and around amsterdam, funny to see stuff that’s just round the corner from my house in a magazine like this…

talking of old type i came across this nice old post office signage in rotterdam last week
