slightly ‘off topic’ post, but i just wanted to share this wonderful footage of the outrageous ‘russell brand’ making friends in america… i wonder whether they will invite him back next year?
footnote: russel was actually fired from MTV in 2001 when he appeared on TV the day after 911 dressed as ‘osama bin laden’, who says humour is universal?
there is apparently some sort of design festival taking place at the moment freedesigndom and i’ve really tried hard to read the site and understand what it’s about… it seems to be a collection of events that were already taking place, i find it all very baffling, they even approached me to say something about their ridiculous design quotes thing which has just made it even more confusing to be honest, i really can’t understand what the purpose is of it all… if anybody has a clue please send me a (short) postcard, thanks in advance
last week i met this young photographer who has just graduated from the hague academy, he has an impressive portfolio and has already produced his first book, which can be viewed here
i’ve just heard that the ‘calimucho’ poster has been nominated (with four others) for this years ‘cinema poster award’ the winner will be declared during the film festival in utrecht on october the first, i have no idea what the other contenders are yet, more news tomorrow hopefully…
that’s a good start to the monday morning anyway…
