i spent the day yesterday in good company of fellow designers
(+ office neighbours) frank (21bis) and erik (jihaa) making our very first collaborative silkscreen poster, we made mistakes and learnt a lot which was fortunately the idea

for me the idea is to experiment, collaborate, try new (old) things and get away from the pixels for a while, i’m already looking forward to next time, the main thing i learnt is not to let those two mix colours when i’m not looking… thanks guys it was fun, its been a long time since i’ve had inky hands and worn such a ridculous apron…

here are some more images of the amazing silkscreen poster series by ‘michiel schuurman’, also posted earlier this week

for a second i thought it read ‘ no more blowing…’ some jaw-dropping silk-screen posters from michiel schuurman hanging around amsterdam at the moment, not sure what the story is yet but these are guaranteed to get noticed… (image used without the kind permission of ‘hansje’ hope you don’t mind?)
i’m off screen printing today so this is just the inspiration i needed, back tomorrow…

design doesn’t really get more symbolic than this, a demonstrator makes a powerful re-design of a poster of mubarak, the egyptian president’s imminent decline…
