i’ve been invited to contribute two new projects to the third issue of a new asian design magazine touch, the projects are the first season of posters for the amsterdam music theater, see related posts here and here, plus the new ‘cinéma arabe’ poster and identity (no yet posted to me work, hopefully this week)
i suppose that if you were to catch an intern moonlighting on side-projects during office hours it would be more logical to tell them off… except that ‘pollie’ my current intern is using her stolen time to make nice stuff like this (paper sculpture) poster for a flute recital by a classical music student, so in fact i’ll blog about the project instead… very nice, now get back to work…
a long session in the studio today with ‘erwin olaf’ shooting two new images for the dutch national ballet: the evergreens ‘giselle’ & ‘swan lake’ with talented russian ballerinas ‘jurgita dronina’ & ‘anna tsygankova’
a simple starting point (one dancer posing against a simple backdrop) sounds easy… oddly though these are often the most difficult sessions; erwin however, always somehow manages to pull it all together and get the best out of his models… today was no exception, more news soon
