born and bred in amsterdam: photographer philip mechanicus who died in 2005, will be the subject of an exhibition at the ‘jewish museum’ in amsterdam opening later this month, the exhibition promises to show a great deal of his early work shooting kids playing around the dilapidated city in the post war years
